Society | December 13, 2007, Thursday // 00:00

About 1000 decares of agriculture land have been flooded after Rusenski Lom River overflowed in Bulgaria's village of Krasen.

The level of river increased as a result of the snow melting in the region.

Civil Defense teams are now trying to prevent draining facilities from flooding.

The river overflowed on the spots where the dikes have not been reinforced after the floods in the area in the summer.

The municipality and the state company "Draining Facilities" are still arguing on who is responsible for their reinforcement.
