The European Union's transport commissioner Jacques Barrot is to arrive in Bulgaria on Thursday to pay a two-day visit to the country.
During the visit, Barrot will meet with Bulgarian prime minister Sergey Stanishev, transport minister Petar Mutafchiev and finance minister Plamen Oresharski, as well as the parliamentary commissions on transport and European affairs.
A visit to the Sofia international airport and the Varna port are also on the agenda.
Barrot will be accompanied during the visit by Bulgaria's commissioner Meglena Kuneva, in charge of consumer affairs.
