Bulgaria's EU commissioner Meglena Kuneva, in charge of consumer affairs, will launch her first web-chat on Wednesday, the EC press service said on Tuesday.

The two-hour event will start at 6 pm Bulgarian time and will have a festive theme - "Have a safe Christmas".

Web surfers will have the chance to product, and in particular toy safety, a topic that has been at the forefront of Kuneva's efforts in her first year in office.

Questions can be posted, and will be answered, in English, French, German, Italian or Bulgarian, but no anonymous questions will be allowed.

The web-chat can be accessed on Kuneva's Commission website at http://ec.europa.eu/commission_barroso/kuneva/webchat_en.htm
