A total of 14 children are in hospital after they swallowed high blood pressure medications in their kindergarden in Sofia.

Seven children were hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning Wednesday and seven more were brought later to the Pirogov hospital by their parents.

Blood test showed they had all swallowed pills for high blood pressure.

Life of the poisoned children is out of danger, doctors told reporters.

All 14 children, who are around the age of five, go to a kindergarden in the Sofia district of Lozenets, where they probably found the medications.

Investigation has been launched and police interrogated the head of the kindergarden.
