A total of 200 houses in Bulgaria's municipality of Kostinbrod have been flooded after the torrential rains that poured over some parts of the country in the past few days.

"The municipal authorities were forced to declare state of emergency for the second time for a week," Mayor Krassimir Kunchev announced.

"Hydrological surveys should be launched as soon as possible so that the municipality not to stay under water so often," he added.

It is expected that the local authorities will evaluate the damages on Tuesday morning.
