The Bulgarian nurses and the Palestine-born doctor Ashraf are to arrive Thursday in Belgium's city of Dinant to thank the local people for supporting the cause of the medics' release from imprisonment in Libya.
The mayor of the city has ordered the municipality building to be covered with a huge poster with the medics behind bars on it at the time when the Bulgarians were jailed over accusations of deliberately infecting hundreds of Libyan children with HIV.
The medics are to pay the visit at the invitation of Belgium's National Nurses and Health-Officers Federation.
The Bulgarians are also scheduled to meet Friday Belgian senators, who have introduced to the country's Senate a draft-law that provides for better organization of the work trips of nurses from around the world.
The five nurses and Palestinian doctor with Bulgarian citizenship will visit a medical school in the Wallonia's region main city of Namur.
