A fourth Bulgarian broadcast television channel, called TV2, will be launched on November 25, its production team said on Thursday.

The team and its executive director Ognyan Dimov presented channel's biggest shows, with which they plan to attract viewers.

The focus of will be on entertainment shows, with a smattering of reality TV programming, including Donald Trump's The Apprentice, as well as news.

The producers have big hopes for the primetime show hosted by Bulgaria's famed Roma gay and popfolk star Azis, which will compete for TV ratings against the country's most popular late night show, hosted by Slavi Trifonov on bTV.

Although TV2 does not hold a national broadcast licence, it will bypass that requirement since it has 27 regional broadcast licences.

It has a programming licence, which it received in 2000 and is valid until 2010.

Currently, Bulgaria has three broadcast channels - state television BNT, News Corp.'s bTV and Nova TV, owned by Greek media group Antenna.

Media reports have claimed Krassimir Gergov, Bulgaria's advertising mogul, is behind the new channel.
