Bulgaria's Disaster Management Minister Emel Etem opened Tuesday an exhibition of children drawings in the ceremonial hall at Sofia University.
The works have been created by youngsters, aged between 6 and 18, who took part in the seventh national competition for children drawings, called "Mission Saviour".
A total of 419 children have participated in the event as 27 of them managed to get awards in the three categories - students from specialized groups for gifted children, children from orphanages and students from state schools all across Bulgaria.
"The competition has already turned out to be a stepping-stone for young talents," Minister Etem said.
The headmaster of Bulgaria's National School for Fine Arts Maria Landova announced that some of the winners in the contest will have preferential rights when applying for entering the school.
The national contest was organized by the Disaster Management Ministry, Education Ministry and the National Palace of Children.
