The heavy rainfall in Sofia caused unseen traffic jams and a large number of car accidents on Monday.

The public transport busses, trams and trolley busses are behind their schedule, forcing people to wait for 30, even 40 minutes on the bus stops. The biggest delay in schedule is of the busses and trolley busses, whose way goes through the Eagles' Bridge crossing.

The busses on line 111 that go on the orbital motorway have a 30-minute delay because of the extremely heavy traffic on the road.

One of the biggest traffic jams is on the Tzarigradsko Shousse Boulevard in the area of the 4th kilometre where public transport busses and cars are stuck in a 2-kilometre line before the tunnel leading to Studentski Grad district.
