The oldest culture foundation, based in Bulgaria, St.St. Cyril and Methodius marks Saturday the 25th anniversary since its establishment.

The celebrations on the occasion have been opened by Bulgaria's parliamentary Speaker Georgi Pirinski.

"The foundation is strictly following its aims focused on developing the talents of the Bulgarian youngsters and maintaining the crowning achievements in the spiritual sphere in our country," the speaker said.

A total of five Bulgarian teachers in literature and German language have been awarded for their achievements during the year.

In the framework of the celebrations, the foundation has organized a conference on the topic "Give a Chance to the Talent", which will be held in the next two days.

Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov sent a congratulation message to the foundation members.

The St. Cyril and St. Methodius International Foundation was established on October 20, 1982 as an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization with headquarters located in Sofia.
