More than 120 people have been killed after two bombs exploded among crowds in Karachi that were celebrating the return of the former Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto, BBC reported Friday.

Ms Bhutto, who returned home after eight years of exile, has not suffered any injuries.

The attacks on the motorcade happened in spite of the heavy security presence.

Bhutto's husband, Asif Ali Zardari, said that the attack has been organized by members of the government and intelligence agencies, who were scared of losing power after the ex-PM promised to confront those operating in the northern tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.

Ms Bhutto wants to contest parliamentary elections in January and she had been negotiating with President Pervez Musharraf over a possible power-sharing agreement.
