Three of the people wounded in the heavy car crash in Southeastern Bulgaria on Monday are still in critical condition, two 2-year-old children among them, Darik News reported.

Another seven people were hospitalised, but their condition is stable and their lives are out of danger, doctors in the Blagoevgrad hospital said.

The hellish accident in which five people were killed occurred around 2 pm on the road connecting the towns of Simitli and Razlog between six cars and two trucks.

The cause of the accident were the breaks of one of the trucks.
