The famous Lovers' Bridge in Sofia became the stage of a photo exhibition named "Earth from above", which was officially opened on Monday night with an eco cocktail.
The outdoor exhibition of photographs of the French photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a special display of images from different parts of the world. It is an aerial portrait of our planet and everyone can visit it for free until November 18.
Sofia Mayor Boiko Borissov officially opened the exhibition together with the French Ambassador to Bulgaria Etienne de Poncins.
"We want this exhibition to make people thing how beautiful the Earth is and also to make them realize that its beauty needs to be constantly cared for and preserved in a time when the nature is endangered by the humans' activity," the curator of the exhibition Emi Baruh said at the opening.
