Doctors from Bulgaria's capital are reporting a boom in sexually transmitted infections shortly after the end of the summer holidays.
"Between eight and ten men on average have an appointment with me every day," doctor Milen Katsarov, an andrologist from Alexandrovska hospital in Sofia told 24 Hours daily.
The same trend is observed by gynaecologists, catering for the women who lost their inhibitions in the sunshine.
Infected eyes and ears are an accompanying complaint of these patients who have no choice but a crash course in antibiotics.
What is clear is that the responsible sex message is not getting through, doctors comment.
