Bulgaria's youth eco association "Green Tigers" started Monday a series of protest actions against the air pollution in the capital city of Sofia.
The activists put oxygen sets and handed out brochures to the passers-by, which contained information about all harmful effects the foul air has on the human organism.
The action took place at one of Sofia's major crossings at Orlov most. The protests are to continue in the next two days when the demonstrators will gather on other main points in the city.
The activists demanded the construction of an overbridge on Orlov most crossing so that the traffic jams and harmful gases emission could be avoided.
The protestors said they will notify Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov about their offer.
"Our protests will continue even out of the capital's territory," the leader of the association Boris Kasikov announced.
