Eight people died as 21 car crashes were reported overnight in Bulgaria, according to the data of the country's Interior Ministry.

A total of 18 people were injured in the accidents and the lives of three of them are still in danger.

In capital Sofia, the number of traffic accidents during the same period was 78, including two major car accidents. Two persons were injured.

A total of 665 people died in 5333 car hits in Bulgaria since the beginning of the year. More than 6500 were injured in the road carnage.
