Bulgarian eco-activists renewed their street protests on Tuesday evening, blocking traffic at the Levski monument in downtown Sofia.
Close to 200 people protested against what they called "the systematic destruction of Bulgarian environment".
Two people were arrested, including one woman, for lying down on the boulevard, impeding the traffic.
Eco-activists have gone on street protests repeatedly this summer, voicing their disapproval against construction carried out in protected areas, including the Strandzha and Rila natural parks.
