The case of notorious Bulgarian bodybuilder Dimitar Hodzhev, charged with hooliganism after a car crash, went to court on Friday.

Hodzhev, better known as Mityo the Jack, was detained on August 11 after taking the law into his hands and brutally settling scores with a car that just scratched his SUV.

The Volkswagen car driven by plaintiff Georgi Boshnakov bumped into Hodzhev's Nissan, which angered him enough that he began striking it with his bare fists, destroying its lights in the process.

He then left the scene, refusing to wait for the arrival of the police.

The Sofia city court has summoned nine witnesses, some of them relatives of the plaintiff, who were in the car when the incident occurred.

Hodzhev faces up to five years in prison if found guilty on his charges.
