British hard rock legends Deep Purple will return to Bulgaria to play a gig in capital Sofia as part of its Rapture of the Deep tour on November 1, the band confirmed on its website.

The band is scheduled to play the gig in the Festivalna hall, with tickets going on sale on Monday for BGN 30.

Deep Purple will play at the invitation of Balkan Entertainment Company, owner of local rock radio station Z-Rock, which will be celebrating its first anniversary on October 13.

The band has previously played in Sofia in 1998 and at the Kaliakra Rock Fest in the town of Kavarna in 2005. Former members Ritchie Blackmore and Glenn Hughes also played gigs in the country.
