Troubled pop star Britney Spears was pulled over for speeding by the the Los Angeles Highway patrol on Friday night while driving her Mercedes on the way to Las Vegas.

As a patrol car quickly accelerated to catch up with the speeding Britney, the single mom characteristically tried to wish her troubles away, nonchalantly continuing on her way to Vegas.

She was presumably on her way to meet up with boyfriend Chris Angel.

She eventually exited the freeway and pulled over at a petrol station. Initially the officer did not recognize her when she illuminated her face with the torch.

Britney pleaded innocence and used the old "paparazzi were chasing me" line.

Incredibly, she was just given a warning and sent on her way.
