5th Open Air Rock Festival Starts in Bulgaria

For a fifth consecutive year Bulgarian rock musicians organize the Rock in Rila Mount music fest at the outlands of the Beli Iskar village, the organizers of the event announced Thursday.

The two-day music event in summer's end will gather at one place a number of Bulgarian rock bands, performers and fans on August 24 and 25.

For two days the musicians will once again prove to the audience that rock's not dead and following the famous lyrics of the song for the old hippies that took out their guitars and shoved away the silence from the neighbourhood, will try to rock even the surrounding rocks.

The perfect natural acoustics of the place at the first edition of the festival gathered more than 5000 fans from Bulgaria and abroad.

This year the guests will be provided with enough space for their tents, enough beer to raise the spirits and enough food.

This year the area will be rocked by Signal, Gravity Co, BluesTraffick, Awake, Ostava, Annnie and New Session band, P.I.F. Sprint, Konkurent, Zvezdi and Eridan, Vasko Krupkata (Vasko the Patch), Vili Kavaldzhiev and this is only for a starter.

The event is free of charge; still, people will have to pay for the beer, the organizers said.
