Bulgaria Marks International Youth Day

Bulgaria's State Youth and Sport Agency organized Sunday numerous entertaining events to mark the 7th International Youth Day.

The celebrations in the capital city of Sofia began with paintball, badminton and Frisbee competitions, which took place in Aleko chalet in Vitosha Mountain. Graphite fest was also part of the program.

The culmination was the concert staged in front of Sofia's National Palace of Culture. Pop star Maria Ilieva, the hip-hop duo Rumanetsa and Encheva and group Mastilo were among the performers, who amused the audience in the garden.

The event was marked in 20 other towns all across the country. Young people from Varna, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Shumen, Pleven, etc. took part in discussions, round tables, forums and sport competitions.

The day is marked around the globe under the patronage of the United Nations organization.
