US President George Bush is to meet Saturday his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy for the first time since Sarkozy has taken on his duties.

The meeting, which will take place in a residence in Maine, is to be entirely dedicated to strengthening the personal relations between the two leaders.

Bush and Sarkozy will discuss serious issues at their official meeting in the autumn, a spokesman for the White House said.

"The US seems to be at the dawn of a new era in the relations with France," he added.

Experts claim the style of ruling of the two heads of state is very similar, which guarantee success in the relations between their countries.
