A bomb exploded Friday in a courthouse in the Turkish capital, bringing down some of its windows but causing no casualties, Novosti news agency reported.
The bomb was made of two plastic bottles - one containing a flammable material, the other traces of gunpowder - beneath a bench near the prosecutors' offices, police reported.
Police at Ankara's security headquarters would not comment.
Only a few people were in the courthouse at the time of the explosion because the judiciary is on a summer recess.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Bomb attacks are common in Turkey, where militant leftists and Islamist groups are active.
In May, a suicide bomb attack in Ankara killed nine people and injured dozens of others. Turkish officials blamed the rebel Kurdistan Workers' Party for the attack, although the group denied any involvement.
