At least seven of the hurt, a crew-member among them, were flown to Norwegian hospitals with serious injuries.
Ten others were treated for minor traumas and are now back on the vessel, called the Alexey Maryshev, which docked at a nearby port under its power following the incident last night.
There were 70 passengers aboard, including 50 Britons, at the time of the accident.
