The new National Audit Office Act to grant it the right to control the concessions, Associated Professor Georgi Nikolov is to propose. Many of the audit offices over the world are granted this right because one of the recommendations of the EU to the countries in transition is this institutions to audit all the state-owned properties, the chairman of the office said. This year budget envisages revenues of BGN 22.4 M from concessions. In case of an average implementation of the republican budget`s revenues, by end-May the revenues from concessions amount to BGN 4.2 M or 19.1% of the yearly accounts. It may be due to unreal planning but may be a result from want of subsequent control over the installments, Georgi Nikolov elaborated.
