Italian police arrested Saturday a Ukrainian national less than an hour after he hijacked a bus near the city of Rome.

The hijacker threatened the driver with a knife and made him change the rout of the vehicle, which was travelling from Rome to Ukraine's capital city of Kiev.

One of the passengers managed to call the police on his cell phone. No victims and injured people were claimed after the incident.

The reasons for the crime are still under investigation.
