Athens' Citizens Most Unhappy with Living Conditions in EU

The residents of Athens are the most unhappy with the living conditions in their city in comparison to the people in the other EU capitals, a poll has showed.

About 37% of the Greece's capital residents consider the traffic jams, the air pollution and the lack of green spots the most disturbing problems in their home city.

At the same time, another Eurobarometer survey proves that 86% of the Greek families have at least one car and almost 7% possess motorcycles as well.

A total of 62% of the respondents reckon more state subsidies should be allocated to the road infrastructure development and about 25% think money should be granted for modernizing public transport.
