A 52-year-old retired factory worker shot dead three relatives and wounded another two before killing himself in an Atlanta house on Monday.
The gunman was identified as Abdulaziz Ibrahim, local police spokesman said.
The three victims are Hana Yusuf, 26, a person named Luna, whose age and last name were not immediately known and Mohmmed Ibrahim, 28, who died at hospital shortly after the shooting.
A three-year-old boy is in critical condition at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and Yusuf Ibrahim, 27, is in stable condition at another hospital, police said.
The family moved into the home about 12 years ago from overseas, a neighbour reported. She said also the shooter used to give the neighbourhood children small toys and school supplies.
"We think he was sick, he must have been, as otherwise he was so sweet and wouldn't hurt anybody," the neighbour added.
She said Ibrahim lived in the home with his wife, who was not there Monday morning, plus three children, two nieces and two grandchildren.
