The Swiss "solartaxi", whose driver intends to circumnavigate the world using only solar power, arrived in Bulgarian capital Sofia on Monday.
Travel editor and adventurer Louis Palmer set off from Lucerne on July 3, aiming to cross at least fifty countries on five continents.
Solar power enthusiast Palmer believes his vehicle, which can travel at a maximum speed of up to 90 kilometres per hour, is a realistic alternative for petrol-fuelled cars.
The three-wheel vehicle is expected to generate half of the power it needs.
