Copies of ancient Roman and Greek head sculptures are part of the unique thematic exhibition, which was opened Tuesday in the National Archaeological Museum in Sofia.

The exhibition, called "The Head", includes antique portraits that belong to the host museum's collection.

About 30 sculptures, heads and busts present the main stages in the development of the Roman portrait art from 1st-4th century AD.

The visitors will be given the chance to enjoy also sculptures created in the last decades of 20th century. They are part of the collections of the National Gallery of Arts, Sofia City Art Gallery and Studio - Svetlin Rusev collection.

The exhibition will be opened until August 28.
