The world famous Japanese drum band Yamato staged a performance to remember in Sofia's National Palace of Culture.

The inspiring drumming and infectious dance rhythm thrilled Saturday evening the Bulgarian audience that flooded the hall o enjoy the performance, called "Heartbeat: Shin-On".

Yamato was founded by Masa Ogawa in 1993 in Nara, "the land of Yamato", said to be the birthplace of Japanese culture.

The group, including 11 artists, staged more than 1,500 stunning performances so far in about a dozen countries all around the globe, starting 1998.

The charm of the concerts is hidden in the fascinating sound of the traditional Wadaiko drums combined with impressive choreography.
