Bulgaria's Ex-King Party Forked Out BGN 15 M for Sole MEP Seat

Politics » BULGARIA IN EU | June 5, 2007, Tuesday // 00:00

About BGN 15 M invested the centrist party of Bulgaria's former king and prime minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg in its pre-election MEP campaign, several rival offices claim, cited by the daily "Trud".

The formation denied the rumours saying such statements are ridiculous.

The party, which has changed its previous name two days ago, said it is going to give accounts before the Audit Office.

Some of the members confirmed however that the mandate of Biliyna Raeva is undoubtedly the most expensive one since the establishment of the party.
