Bulgaria's zoo MEPs will be chosen by the visitors of the three-day exotic animals exhibition in Sofia's Earth and Man museum.

The results from the vote will be announced on May 20 - the day when the Bulgarians are to elect their representatives in the human European Parliament.

Along with the so popular pets like iguanas, chameleons, pythons and tarantulas, there are animals that could be seen in Bulgaria for the first time at the exhibition, called "Planet Exotics 2007".

Among these rare species are the Angora guinea-pigs, mountain horned dragons, south Asian hadrosaurs, tiger salamanders, water and tree frogs and Australian lizards, which are famous for their ability to walk on two legs just as a human being.

The unique collections of bird eating spiders and naked mole rats are among the most amazing attractions at the exhibition.

As part of the exhibition there will also be presented pictures, "painted" for months by snails.
