Bulgaria's Parliament OKs Borrowing EUR 380 M from EIB

Bulgaria's parliament decided Thursday to give green light for contracting the European Investment Bank to co-finance a project for repairs of transit roads.

The total length of the road segments included in the project is 1535 kilometers, all of them placed on main Bulgarian roads and transport corridors.

The EIB offered to grant EUR 380 M, the rest of the funds, up to EUR 325 M will come from the state budget.

The cabinet also plans to borrow EUR 90 M from the World Bank that will be used to repair another 450 kilometres of existing roads.
