The "Cast your vote" campaign, an ambitious initiative to provoke the interest of Bulgarians in the upcoming MEP elections, arrived in Sofia.
Dozens of Sofia citizens were taken aback on Sunday after being accosted by young people from behind the walls of transparent polling booths.
The volunteer "prisoners" are actually young actors, who joined an ambitious campaign to provoke the interest of Bulgarians in the upcoming MEP elections.
The "Cast your vote" campaign aims to inform Bulgarians about the role and functions of the European Parliament and encourage them to head for the voting booths in an election, which will hardly quicken the voters' pulse.
The initiaive was launched thirteen days ago and has so far toured seven towns, including Veliko Tarnovo, Russe, Blagoevgrad, Varna, Plovidv.
Over the next week the makeshift polling booths will be placed at key locations across the capital - Sofia University, Southern Park, Students' town, to attract as many people as possible.
