Sofia citizens are starting to forget what fresh air feels like and their organism is mutating with constant hits of headache and nausea, experts said.

Virtually every entry in the Periodic Table of Elements can be found in Sofia's air and its citizens have already mutated, Lachezar Filipov, deputy head of the Space Exploration department with the Bulgarian Academy of Science announced.

Some of the aftermath of this is that many people suffer of frequent headaches, nausea, and hay fever, Telegraf daily newspaper reported.

Still, Sofia citizens are lucky compared to those from nearby villages, as the wind is blowing in their favour. Kremikovtzi steel plant, one of the biggest polluters in the area is located so the wind blows the fumes from its chimneys away from the capital.
