Bulgaria's Red Cross Celebrates Holiday with Free Lunch

The Sofia branches of the Bulgarian Red Cross will give Tuesday a free lunch for over 300 poor people as part of the celebration of the International Day of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent.

The free lunch will be given in the South Park in Sofia starting at noon.

Along with it, the Red Cross has organized another activities to celebrate the day.

The most active and hard-working members of the Red Cross and Red Crescent will be awarded medals and titles.

The Bulgarian Red Cross and Red Crescent was founded 130 years ago, together with the restoration of the Bulgarian state.

This year, the two organizations celebrate their day, May 8, under the motto "Together for Humanity". The Red Cross and Red Crescent have more than 95 M of volunteers worldwide.
