Rescue services found the wreckage of the Kenyan plane with 114 people aboard, which crashed shortly after takeoff on Saturday in Cameroon.

There are no immediate reports on the number of the passengers, who lost their lives in the accident.

"There is practically no chance there will be any survivors because almost the entire body of the plane was buried inside the swamp," Jean-Pierre Nana, director of Cameroon's civil protection department said.

The searching continued more than two days as thick fog, heavy rain and densely forested area seriously impeded the operation.

The Boeing 737-800, which was flying from the town of Douala to the Kenya's capital city of Nairobi, went down near Cameroon's town of Niete.

The jet was first declared missing after losing communication with the Control tower.

There were 79 Africans, 21 Asians, seven Europeans, one US citizen and six passengers, whose nationality was unknown on the board of the plane, Kenyan Airways reported.
