In a separate development, Nadezhda Mihaylova, former foreign minister and current leader of the rightist opposition Union of Democratic Forces said that it was not possible to set exact date for Bulgaria's EU entry. "In case some countries remain to join the EU with the second wave I think that it would be fair and right if they are given an exact date and additional compensations are proposed for aiding these countries in accelerating their accession, “ Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg said in an interview for Spain’s ABC, commenting on Bulgaria's EU bid. Asked to comment, Nadezhda Mihaylova defined the words of the prime minister as "not knowing the process."
