Bulgaria's Central Election Committee has decided to slap a fine on nationalist party Ataka (Attack) for breaking the law with their MEP election video.

The Committee ruled on the clip after the head of the election headquarters of Simeon II National Movement (SIINM), Nikolay Svinarov, lodged a complaint against it.

Ataka's video was in violation of good manners, the Committee's head Alexander Alexandrov stated and decided to draw up a bill for administrative violation to the owner of the only media that played the video, SKAT TV.

The faces of the leaders of the three parties in Bulgaria's ruling coalition Sergey Stanishev, Simeon Saxe-Coburg's and Ahmed Dogan are shown in the video along with messages against the "national traitors."

"Let's stop the fezes and the national traitors," the video calls. Ataka's clip sparked controversy in the beginning of the week when the Bulgarian National TV refused to air it because it also includes images of landmarks from London, Paris, Venice and the Vatican turned into mosques.
