A residential building collapsed in Istanbul on Thursday, without causing any casualties, although two people have been pulled out of the debris, CNN reported.
The six-story building, initially reported as an eight-story, is believed to have crumbled because of demolition work being carried out next to it.
"Most of the people left the building when they heard cracking sounds, but a few people re-entered to get their things," Istanbul's governor Muammer Guler told local CNN's Turk channel.
Sloppy construction, the absence of building regulation and corruption have been blamed for past building collapses in Turkey.
