A survey has showed that Bulgaria's socialists would garner some 23% of the votes in the upcoming MEP elections, followed by Sofia Mayor's party GERB with 16%.
This would have been the situation if the elections have been held last week, the National Center for Studying Public Opinion revealed.
Ethnik Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms and nationalist Ataka (Attack) have earned the trust of 8% of the population so far, while Simeon II National Movement and United Democratic Forces have 4% each. Democrats for Strong Bulgaria are last with 2%, the survey shows.
It is still too early to speak of how many candidates each party would land in the European Parliament, because the last two seats will be decided after the distribution of the largest remainder.
