Bulgarian centre-right Union of Free Democrats (UFD) vowed to keep its campaign for the European Parliament elections low-key, focusing on issues rather than attention-seeking events.
"Our goal is not to have loud concerts, but to give the voters a clear idea what they are voting for," party leader and former Sofia mayor Stefan Sofianski, who heads the party's MEP list, said.
UFD plans to devote each of the campaign's four weeks to a separate issue, during which the party will present its policies.
The first week will be devoted to education, followed by environmental protection, healthcare and, finally, economics and business.
The party, which splintered from the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF), then the main centre-right party in the country, in 2001, is credited with 1,5% public support by the latest poll, not enough to win even a single MEP seat.
