The finance ministers from the 27 EU member states will meet for their monthly meeting on Friday, with measures to prevent value-added tax (VAT) fraud topping the agenda.
The focus of the meeting will be the optional general reverse charge system as an effective means to combat VAT fraud.
The informal EcoFin meeting will also examine recent developments in tax revenues and exchange views on national experiences in reforming and modernising tax systems, according to its agenda.
Bulgaria's Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski will represent the country at the meeting.
Earlier on Friday, ministers from the Eurogroup countries, which have adopted the euro, will discuss the euro-zone's economic outlook, as well as the outcome of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank joint spring meeting last week in Washington.
