Bulgaria's Labour and Social Policy Minister Emiliya Malsarova proved yet again that her "biggest liar of the year" award was well deserved. Somehow she gathered the cheek to tell dozens of pensioners that the current government had been correct in its relationship with them.
I wonder where she finds the nerve and conviction to spew such statements again and again. I really do. For while Maslarova's style and preference in brands has visibly gone way upscale during her term as minister, pensioners in Bulgaria live on veggies (that's if they are lucky enough to have a garden to grow them in.)
Now that everyone knows that Thursday is, and has been for months, the day pensioners gather in front of Parliament to shout their discontent with promises unkept, saying you were correct is hypocritical at the least. I don't know if minister Maslarova has ever given thought to what it means to live on less than what one of her pearl earrings cost but it seems that she lives in a world of her own illusions. Either that or she uses some really freshening mouthwash to get rid of the sour taste of her own words in the evening.
