Two men hijacked a helicopter to help their friend to escape from a Belgian prison.
The "savers" threatened the pilot and the instructor of the training machine, waving guns and a hand grenade, forcing them to land the helicopter in the jail's yard.
After the prisoner boarded the machine, it took off and landed for the second time on a nearby field. Then the three men rushed in an unknown direction.
The 31-year-old runaway was found guilty of numerous frauds, thefts and documents' forgery.
The convicted was to be extradited to a Spanish prison he previously escaped from.
