Moderate Earthquake Wounds 2 in Japan

Two people were injured as part of a ceiling fell on them and several houses were partially damaged after an earthquake with the magnitude of 5,4 hit central Japan on Sunday.

The quake came shortly after noon local time and its epicenter was 70 kilometers east of the city of Osaka. Its depth was 27,8 kilometers, according to the data of the US Geographical Survey.

Japan sits atop four tectonic plates and is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries.
