Nadezhda Mihaylova, Bulgaria's former foreign minister and former leader of the biggest right-wing party the Union of Democratic Forces, has abandoned plans to run for MEP, it emerged on Friday.
Mihaylova pulled out her nomination three days earlier without giving any arguments.
The politician, who played a key role in Bulgaria's pre-accession process, split the biggest right-wing party and left the leader's post last year, hardly enjoyed any chance to make her way to the European Parliament, being placed at spot number 5 on the ticket.
Mihaylova's withdrawal will push one spot higher all the candidates down the ticket.
At the bottom of the list a new candidate will be added - Andon Ginev from the party's branch in the town of Gabrovo.
