A German military aircraft has crashed in Switzerland on Thursday, international media reported, citing a spokeswoman for the German Defense Ministry.
The Federal Army Tornado jet crashed near the Swiss village of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern on its way back from an exercise on the French island of Corsica, N-TV television reported, citing the Swiss Defense Ministry.
The aircraft had refueled at a Swiss military airport at Emmen in the canton of Lucerne, it said.
One of the pilots was injured and the second is missing, N-TV said, citing Swiss Radio 24.
